Quality

     We "measure twice, cut once." Each project is thoroughly analysed and a full conversion solution is developed before starting production. A significant departure from the approach used by other conversion companies, this increased investment at start-up ensures that the production cycle will be far more reliable and efficient. Our process starts with a detailed review of source material. This up-front analysis focuses on two key areas: (1) understanding the structure of the source, and (2) developing specifications that address how the source material is to be represented in the electronic files.

     Because we understand the importance of accuracy in publishing, all projects go through several rounds of proofing and quality assurance. First, proofs are manually checked word-for-word against the manuscript and compared with the provided clients specifications. If any errors are found, the proofs are sent through a round of corrections.

Proofread pages character-for-character

     Impose consistency of style in like elements (heads, subheads, table formatting, figure captions and so on)

Correct spelling errors

     Ensure that figures are close to their callouts, all callouts appear for section numbers, figures and references

     Confirm that headings match with wordings in table of contents (TOC)

     Adjust wording and page numbers in TOC to match the interior pages

     Ensure that pages are bottom aligned according to the style of the publisher.
